Melissa Hale
Advanced Open Warer and Rescue Diver
Melissa married into a diving family and got open water certified the same year. Since then she has gotten her Enriched Air Nitrox, Advanced Open Water, and Rescue Certifications. Next, will be Divemaster and probably Instructor because she has FOMO. She joined the Heroes crew in May 2022 after retiring from homeschooling her two girls (both are divers, too). Melissa's favorite part of diving is seeing new divers in awe of creation and, of course, the beloved turtles. She also thinks travel should be a sport, so getting those passport stamps is a plus, too. Other than SCUBA, Melissa is involved with her church and serves on the board of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of SWFL. When she's not underwater, she's probably at the Caladesi sandbar and/or napping.
