Diver Stress & Rescue

Stress is a major cause of diving accidents and negatively impacts rescue situations. This program teaches you the skills and knowledge required to recognize and deal with stress, prevent accidents, and properly deal with emergency situations encountered by divers. This program consists of one day in the classroom, three pool sessions, and three open water dives (location varies).

Prerequisites: Open Water Diver certification, active first-aid and CPR training, and Oxygen Provider for Scuba Diving Injuries certification. The DAN Basic Life Support: CPR and First Aid and DAN Oxygen Provider for Scuba Diving Injuries will be offered on the days prior to the start of class. The minimum age requirement is 12 years old.

Included: Course tuition, online learning materials, pool entry fees, and a certification card.

Not Included: Open water dive entry/charter fees, rental scuba gear (regulator, computer, BCD, or wetsuit), snorkel gear (mask, snorkel, fins, and booties), or gratuities.

Cancellation and Reschedule Policy

  • The last chance to sign up for all courses is 72 hours before the first day of class.
  • For cancellations 48 hours before the first day of class: The online learning academics cannot be refunded, those are yours to keep. However, we can refund the rest of the course to you as store credit.
  • No refunds will be given for cancellations less than 48 hours before the first day of class or once the class has already started.
  • There will be a $100 surcharge to reschedule per day, subject to change.
