Extended Range
Extended Range diving opens up a variety of aquatic environments, increases your dive depths limits, and extends your bottom times. The SSI Extended Range program is the core program that all other open-circuit XR programs are built upon.
If you've never worn a twinset before, then the Extended Range Foundations Class is highly recommended.
Prerequisites
- 50 Logged Dives
- RSTD Diver Medical signed by an MD or DO
- Have the following SSI certifications or an equivalent from a recognized training agency:
- Enriched Air Nitrox 40
- Deep Diver

This program qualifies you to dive to a depth of 145 feet using nitrox mixtures of up to 100%. The program can be completed wearing a complete Extended Range Total Diving System, appropriate for a single gas switch, accelerated decompression diving
