Extended Range
Extended Range diving opens up a variety of aquatic environments, increases your dive depths limits, and extends your bottom times. The SSI Extended Range program is the core program that all other open-circuit XR programs are built upon.
If you've never worn a twinset before, then the Extended Range Foundations Class is highly recommended.
Prerequisites
- 50 Logged Dives
- RSTD Diver Medical signed by an MD or DO
- Have the following SSI certifications or an equivalent from a recognized training agency:
- Enriched Air Nitrox 40
- Deep Diver
This program qualifies you to dive to a depth of 145 feet using nitrox mixtures of up to 100%. The program can be completed wearing a complete Extended Range Total Diving System, appropriate for a single gas switch and accelerated decompression diving.

Cancellation and Reschedule Policy
- The last chance to sign up for all courses is 72 hours before the first day of class.
- For cancellations 48 hours before the first day of class: The online learning academics cannot be refunded, those are yours to keep. However, we can refund the rest of the course to you as store credit.
- No refunds will be given for cancellations less than 48 hours before the first day of class or once the class has already started.
- There will be a $100 surcharge to reschedule per day, subject to change.
